PASSIONATE ABOUT MAKING A CHANGE
I'm Kate, and Flotsam Flo is my passion-driven project based in Cornwall. I transform difficult-to-recycle materials like wetsuits, life jackets, and inflatables into one-of-a-kind, handmade creations. By repurposing these items, I help tackle plastic pollution and promote sustainability. Each product retains original features, making them truly unique.
With your support, I’m able to continue crafting innovative products, hosting upcycling workshops, and being a guest speaker at organisations and schools where I talk about plastic pollution and sustainable alternatives. Let’s work together to reduce waste and make a lasting environmental impact, one creation at a time.
Important Update: EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)
As of December 2024, the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) will come into effect. This law applies to all consumer products sold in the EU that are not covered by other specific safety regulations.
Due to the complexity of ensuring compliance with GPSR and related documentation, we currently do not ship to the EU, including Northern Ireland. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritise safety and compliance in our operations.
We apologise for this and are so grateful for your support.

"There's no such word as can't..."
A Personal Journey with Flotsam Flo
In 2019, a life-changing brain haemorrhage taught me that tomorrow is never promised. Inspired by my Granny Florence, who always said “there’s no such word as can’t,” I followed my dreams and founded Flotsam Flo.
I now use this drive to repurpose materials from orgainsations, the community and charities into new, functional items that reduce waste and support important causes. From transforming old uniforms into cushion covers, banners into corporate gifts, I help businesses boost sustainability with creative solutions.

Please note: We are currently not accepting air beds due to an influx of donations.
Thank you for your continued support on this journey!
